2018 Miss Rodeo Oklahoma - Taylor Spears

In July 2017, Taylor won the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo Oklahoma and was presented the title during the Woodard Elks Rodeo in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Her official coronation is January 27, 2018, but she began her duties right after the first of the year representing Oklahoma at various rodeo related functions being held in the state.

Growing up on her family’s ranch near Cleveland, Okla. Taylor has learned all about hard work at a young age. She started riding horses before she could walk and became comfortable in the saddle when she barrel raced and pole bended at 4-H and round up club play days.

Taylor competed in High School Rodeo for three years and was fortunate enough to earn the title of Miss Oklahoma High School Rodeo as well as Miss National High School Rodeo Queen in 2014. Making her the second woman from Oklahoma to become the National High School Rodeo Queen.

Taylor is the first woman to earn the title of all four divisions at the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma pageant as she was the 2006 Miss Oklahoma Rodeo Sweetheart, 2010 Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Princess, the 2013 Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Teen, and now serves as the 2018 Miss Rodeo Oklahoma.

Giving back to a lifestyle that has placed her where she is today, is her true passion. When she’s not out promoting, Taylor can be found at Turning Point Ranch in Stillwater, Ok. helping with therapeutic riding. She also presents her platform, “Shine Your Light” which encourages everyone to be the most real version of themselves no matter the circumstances.

Upon completion of her 2018 year of service, she will be competing for her childhood and lifetime goal of becoming Miss Rodeo America by competing at the 2019 Miss Rodeo America pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada in December of 2018.

The mission of the Oklahoma Rodeo Pageants Council, Inc. is to provide opportunities for the young women of Oklahoma to maximize their educational potential while promoting the state of Oklahoma through the sport of Rodeo. The Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant is sponsored by the Oklahoma Rodeo Pageants Council, Inc. The pageant selects Oklahoma’s representative to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant held each year in Las Vegas as part of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
